Questions & Answers

Q: What kind of counseling method do you use?

We can offer several counseling methods, however, we mainly use these methods

*Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Approach toward recognition or act)

*Problem-Solution Approach (Focus on What you can do)

    *Image Therapy

    *Somatic Experiencing

    *CARE(Child Adult Attachment Therapy)

Q: Is there any other ways other than face-to face counselling?

We basically offer a face-to-face counseling, however, we may offer Phone/Skype

counseling depending on your situation. Even in that case, we only offer the first

   consultation as a face-to-face.

Q: What do we do at the first session?

At the first consultation, we will explain our counseling methods and counseling

systems(room, fee, etc.). We would like you to feel our counseling atmosphere and

compatibility with your counselor, so that you can consider if you take our counseling.

Q: I'm wondering if I can talk well with my counselor. What should I tell you?

We think it is the most important that you can feel safe at our center. We understand it

is hard to tell about your trauma or face to it, so you don't need to tell us your trauma

at the first session. With our counseling, you can gradually face to your trauma.

Q: What is Trauma?

When your sense of safety is destroyed, your heart/brain will be threaten and

automatically switched to "Instinct Surviving Mode." Usually we can release the mode

after your stress or dangerous situation pass away, but the surviving mode doesn't be

released when the stress is beyond your coping ability. You might unconsciously

continue to prevent future dangers all the time, then you will be exhausted. We call this

   situation or process as TRAUMA.

Trauma can be caused by various factors: Disaster, War, Sexual assault, Domestic

Violence, Traffic accident, Disease, Therapeutic experience, Loss or Heartbreak

(Included but not limited). Even you don't face to danger for your own life, when you

feel/see someone faces to a danger, you may also get trauma.

It is NOT necessary to compare your trauma or recovery process from trauma with other

   s. Everyone has a different coping ability and people react differently to the same

incident. In the same way, everyone has their own recovery process. We would like to

support you to find your own solutions at your own pace.
